 健康的都市生活不能缺少綠意,缺乏綠意的都市生活很難奢言「永續發展」的居住品質。若我們在居住環境中廣植花木,不但可怡情養性,同時促進土壤微生物活動,對生態環境有莫大助益。綠化被公認為唯一可吸收大氣二氧化碳最好的策略,有助於減緩地球氣候日益溫暖化的危機。因此本指標希望能以植物對二氧化碳固定效果做為評估單位,藉鼓勵綠化多產生氧氣、吸收二氧化碳、淨化空氣,進而達到緩和都市氣候溫暖化現象、促進生物多樣化、美化環境的目的。

基地綠化指標與基準

過去建築都市相關法規為鼓勵綠化,有綠覆率、喬木植栽、栽種密度之規定。但它們通常以覆土深度、樹徑、喬林數量來規定綠化量,除對喬木有所認定之外,對於灌木、蔓藤、草地以及建築立體綠化等,多樣綠化的環境貢獻量並無具體評價,各植栽之間的合理換算亦付之闕如。事實上,綠化對於地球環保最大的貢獻,莫過於利用植物的光合作用來固定空氣中的二氧化碳,進而可減緩地球氣候高溫化。因此本評估體系關於綠化量的評估,以二氧化碳固定效果作為綠化評估法的共同換算單位。

根據植物學研究顯示,植物光合作用量與植物葉面積成正比,因此本指標依照樹葉面積,把植物分為七類層級來評估二氧化碳固定效果。此數據是根據溫暖氣候下的樹葉光合作用之實驗值,解析而得的二氧化碳固定效果。其數據代表某植物在都市環境中從樹苗成長至成樹的40年間(即建築物生命週期標準值),每平方米綠地的二氧化碳固定效果。

二十一世紀是休閒的世紀,隨著台灣地區社會急速的變遷,加上經濟的快速成長,愈來愈多人透過休閒活動與運動,以促進身心健康體會運動的樂趣,並且瞭解自我及周遭人們與環境的互動關係,因此休閒運動儼然成為現代人類生活的一部份。

綠覆陰影遮蔽 / 複層植栽綠化 / 淨化空氣品質

 開放空間的綠覆率對於城市微氣候環境的影響與降低城市溫暖化的效果是有明顯的改善成果,且高綠覆率的環境,除對使用者的身心靈健康有明顯注意外,更可有效降低街廓內部的溫度,且在城市裡大量種植綠蔭,還有減低噪音干擾的作用。

另外綠覆率高的環境可有效過濾空氣中的塵埃微粒,某些植物甚至可以吸收有害氣體,分泌殺菌物質,達成空氣淨化的目的

綠屋頂 / 立體綠化

 透過屋頂綠化及牆面立體綠化,吸收太陽的熱輻射,達到建築隔熱降溫的作用,並利用植物的蒸散作用,降低週邊環境溫度,且屋頂綠化可利用土壤對於水的吸附能力減緩暴雨逕流,達到雨水滯洪的目的。

另外對於建築本體,立體綠化亦可防止酸雨、紫外線破壞建築物表面、減輕溫度變化對結構物之影響。
